Escorts in Warsaw: legal to sell, illegal to organise, and not recognised as work
Poland has an odd combination worth understanding before you read a single advert. Selling sex is legal and so is buying it - neither is an offence for the two adults involved. Everything organised around it is not: Article 204 punishes anyone who induces another into prostitution or profits from it with up to three years, and keeping or renting premises for the purpose with up to two.
Then comes the part that explains the whole climate. The state does not recognise sex work as work. It cannot be taxed, it grants no social insurance, and there is no register to join. So a woman working entirely legally has no card, no certificate and no document proving anything - not because she is hiding, but because there is nothing to issue. Anyone who offers you paperwork is offering you a piece of paper that does not exist.
Why Warsaw is not Prague
Warsaw is a working city rather than a weekend one, and it shows. There is far less of the tourist-trap economy that defines Prague, and far more of the ordinary problem: adverts recycled from bigger markets, the same gallery under three names, photographs taken years ago in another country. The evening rarely ends badly in a dramatic way. It ends badly in silence - you cross the city, a door opens, and it is not the woman from the pictures.
Śródmieście holds almost everything a visitor will find, because that is where the hotels with real front desks and the bars you can talk in are. Being where everyone is does not make a profile any more checked than it was.
The forty minutes that decide the evening
Men who have good evenings in Warsaw almost all meet at a bar first. Forty minutes at Woda Ognista or Kita Koguta before anything else. It is not a courtesy: at a bar you know within ten minutes whether the evening is going anywhere, and you can leave without drama. In a flat in a block you could not identify again, you cannot.
What "verified" means here
Verified here means one thing, and it is the thing that goes wrong most: a face and body video review, watched by a person, matched against the gallery, before the profile went live. It is not a health certificate and it does not make an evening good. It removes the failure that starts almost every bad story.
The rest is Warsaw. Be on time, settle the practical once and never again, and treat her like someone you want to see again. It works here as well as it works anywhere.
